Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department responded to the following accident:

7:56 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, State Road 13 and 600 South, Pierceton. Drivers: Ira Webber, 71, West Dogwood Drive, Columbia City and Sheila D. Smith, South Main Street, Sydney. As Webber turned left onto State Road 13, the glare from the sun impaired his vision, causing him not to see Smith in time and the two collided. Damages up to $5,000.
