PIERCETON — In light of recent tornadoes that hit the Kokomo area, the Pierceton Fire Department is holding a food drive this weekend during the town’s 150th anniversary celebration.

Boxes will be located throughout town during the festival. Those who wish can drop off non-perishable food items, which will be taken to Kokomo Monday and distributed to those displaced by this week’s tornados.

The Pireceton Fire Department will also pass a boot Friday during opening ceremonies to collect funds, which they will use to purchase additional food items.
