Jerry Lee Flatter, Sr. passed away at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.

Although he had lived in Leesburg and the area of Warsaw since his retirement. Jerry was born in Portland. He was the son of Ira Ermel and Donna Lee (Riddlebarger) Flatter; they welcomed him into their lives on Dec. 2, 1945.

Jerry was married to Sandra K. “Kay” Skinner, Dec. 16, 1967. His lovely wife preceded him in death Sept. 30, 2002.

Survivors include his two sons: Jerry Flatter, Jr. (Marcus Outlaw), South Bend; and David Flatter, Leesburg; a sister: Susan Hodge, Muncie; and a half-brother: Mike Newton, Ridgeville.

Burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.

The family has asked that gifts in memory of Jerry be made to K21 Health Foundation to support their Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810 Warsaw, IN.

The staff of Titus Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
