Brenda Lyons, 57, Syracuse, passed away on Aug. 4, 2016, at her home. She was born on Sept. 5, 1958, in Harvey, Ill., to James and Shirley (White) Bragg. On May 15, 1977, she married Edward Lyons who survives.

She was a longtime area resident coming from Chicago, Ill., as well as several years in Alabama.

She is survived by her husband: Edward, Syracuse; one son: Daniel Lyons, Cromwell; 26 grandchildren; two brothers: James; and Roger Bragg; three sisters: Patti Duncan; Vicki Wilkin; and Linda Bragg. She was preceded by her grandson: Matthew Nickolas Wiggs.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, August 11, at the Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.
