George Alexander passed away on Aug. 2, in Port Charlotte Fla., after a short fight with liver cancer. He was 74-years-old. He was a retired Town Marshal of Pierceton, having served the community faithfully for over 30 years as Marshal. He was also a paramedic during that time.

George loved his community and served it well. He is survived by his wife: Kathryn Stump Alexander;  a daughter: Kara Alexander of Bloomington; a sister: Diane Pifer of Warsaw; and a brother: Edd (Cheryl) Habegger of Winona Lake.

He was preceded in death by his son: Marc Alexander on June 10, 2016, his parents and brothers Michael (Mick) Habegger and Denton (Kelly) Habegger and a sister Julia Mazelin.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. at the Roberson Funeral Home in Port Charlotte, Fla.
