NorthWood Ladies Fourth At Leo Invite
LEO – The NorthWood girls golf team collected a fourth-place finish today in the Leo Invitational.
The No. 20 Panthers finished with a team total of 351 in the 10-team event held at the Cedar Creek Golf Club.
Homestead captured the team title by shooting 312. Penn was runner-up with a 341 with host Leo third at 350, followed by NorthWood (351), Carroll (365), Belmont (372), Canterbury (400), Fremont (417), Luers (435) and the Leo JV (466).
Summer Stillson finished with a round of 77 to lead NorthWood. The senior finished in third place among individuals in the tournament.
Mackenzie Weaver had an impressive showing for the Panthers with a round of 79, good for an eighth-place finish. Weaver recorded an eagle on the par four No. 4 hole by making her second shot from 93 yards out.
Abby Slabaugh finished with a 91, while Alaina Benjamin shot 104 and Hope Cripe 115 for the Panthers.
Morgan Dabagia of Homestead was individual medalist with a 73 and Leo’s Brooke Moser was second with a 74.
NorthWood returns to action on Saturday in the State Preview at the Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
