AKRON – Jason O’Hara had quite a night Saturday at Akron Speedway, sweeping all four kart races he entered including the feature Senior Clone.

O’Hara started his huge night with a Senior Champ win, outgunning Ryan O’Hara, then taking that momentum through the next three races. The pinnacle was the Senior Clone, where O’Hara’s restarts were the difference as his pedal off the green flags allowed quick jumps to distance himself. O’Hara won the feature comfortably, taking a multi-kart lead to the checkered flag, safely ahead of Randy Tarr’s runner-up finish.

O’Hara also looked sharp in victory in the Super Heavy and Senior Flathead races, particularly the Heavy race where his restart abilities helped ward off a hard-charging Ed Thomas throughout the race.

The kids also continued to gain points and experience, led by Aiden Williamson’s double in the Junior 2 and Junior Sportsman races. Williamson won unopposed in the Junior 2 and used his steady pace to stay clear of Dylan Powell for the win in the Junior Sportsman.

Oliver Osburn was again the top dog in Kid Karts, picking up his third Akron circuit win in July. Audra Weaver was the runner-up, with Nevaeh Shepherd and Ruger Lough providing a competitive race.

In a neat set of side features, the mechanics and track ladies got a chance to show their stuff. In the mechanics race, it wasn’t a clone but as close to virtual reality as it gets as two Jasons raced two identical 83 cars owned by Kevin Williamson. In the end, the Jason Ormsby got to the finish line just ahead of a late-breaking Jason Weaver to take honors. In the Powder Puff race, Shasity Gambaro was solid from start to finish to win, with Megan Weaver coming home second.
