WARSAW — The community was able to enjoy free canoe rentals at Center Lake, Warsaw, Saturday, July 30. People were invited to come out and take advantage of free canoeing. Individuals can rent the canoes on a first come, first served basis. The canoes were located in Center Lake on the east side of the swimming pier behind the Pavilion. The event was hosted by the Warsaw Parks and Reaction Department.

No registration is required to rent canoes. Participants must sign a waiver and rules must be signed by each participant. Individuals under age 18 must be signed off by a parent. All equipment and life vests are provided. All participants will be briefed on safety measures prior to canoeing. All canoeing will be supervised by staff.

The Parks and Recreation Department is offering additional free canoe rental days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.
