MIDLAND, Mich. – Brendon Davis hit a walk-off single with one out in the ninth inning, as the Great Lakes Loons beat the South Bend Cubs 2-1 on Saturday.

Logan Landon scored the game-winning run after he led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a groundout.

The Cubs tied the game 1-1 in the top of the seventh when Eloy Jimenez hit an RBI double, scoring Alberto Mineo.

Alexander Hermeling (2-3) got the win in relief while Casey Bloomquist (7-5) took the loss in the Midwest League game.

Jimenez doubled and singled twice for the Cubs.
