Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

5:09 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at West US 30, east of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Drivers: Kenneth V. Olson, 47, 7th Street, Winona Lake, Deontee M. Smith, 19, River Street, Rochester, and Bradley M. Welbourne, 24, Campbell Street, Valparaiso. Olsen didn’t realize Smith had stopped in front of him due to a construction area. He tried to go into the next lane, but didn’t quite clear and rear-ended Smith’s vehicle. Which caused Smith’s vehicle to rear-end Welbourne’s. Damage up to $10,000.
