AKRON — On Tuesday, July 26, Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Superintendent Brett Boggs recognized Cheryl Simons for her exemplary work as Tippecanoe Valley Middle School’s attendance and athletic secretary.

Simons, who was unable to attend the July school board meeting to accept her award in person, has been a part of the corporation since 1985. She has worn many hats since then, including that of instructional assistant and concession stand operator.

The Pillar Award for Outstanding Support Staff represents and honors the hard work and dedication that staff members like Simons exhibit every day at Tippecanoe Valley Schools.
