Due to the heat advisories in the area, community cooling centers are now available. A cooling center is open at the First Church of Christ, 321 N. Center St. in Plymouth from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23. Another cooling center is now open at the Argos town building, at 101 S. First St. due to the heat advisory.

A heat advisory goes into effect at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21 and will continue until 8 p.m. Saturday, July 23. A heat advisory means a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat related illnesses are possible.
