NAPPANEE — The Wa-Nee Community Schools will welcome students to the 2016-2017 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 10. All students Grades K through 12 will attend classes for the full-day. On the first day of school students will be involved in classroom and school orientation activities as well as beginning class work. Lunch will be served in all schools.

All Wa-Nee students will be dismissed 30 minutes early each Wednesday starting August 10.

Wa-Nee Schools Superintendent, Joe Sabo, is looking forward to the “Excitement Building in Wa- Nee” in 2016-2017, and is excited to announce the availability for parents to register their students online.

Students returning to Wa-Nee Community Schools for 2016-17 may register online. It is critical for parents to have an updated email address on file with the school office in order to complete the online registration process. Parents who do not have an email address on file at the school, should contact Juanita Lantzer, ([email protected]) or call the Wa-Nee Administration Office at (574) 773-3131 to request an email account. Please be sure to list your child’s name, date of birth and grade when making this request so we can correctly update your information in our student management system. Parents whose information is up to date and have an active email on file have already received information from school via email with instructions and links that will allow them to register their child(ren) online. Parents still need to attend the Back- To-School registration in August to receive student class assignments and pay textbook rental fees. However, this process will be much quicker if online registration is completed ahead of time. Wa-Nee encourages parents to take advantage of the online registration as soon as possible. For families without internet access, our schools will continue to hold building registration as in the past. Additionally, computers will also be available during Back-to-School registration if parents choose to complete the online registration process at the school.

New students to Wa-Nee Community Schools should call our Administration Office at (574) 773-3131 for more detailed information regarding enrollment.

School bus routes are almost completed for the upcoming school year. Schedules will be handed out at school registration. All high school students who plan to ride the bus must have re-registered this summer by July 15. For all students, bus schedules handed out at school registration days are final.

Any changes submitted at registration will not take effect until Tuesday, Aug. 16.
