CEMENT, OKLA. — An unwanted visitor slithered its way into the backyard of an Oklahoma home.

J.C. Lara says he was sitting on the couch when he heard his dog barking outside of their Cement, Okla. home.

When he went outside, Lara says he saw a 14-foot-long python in the backyard.

So, he told his dad, who shot and killed the snake since there are several small kids living in the area.

“I come outside and the snake is literally slithering in our yard, and I’m like, ‘Oh no. This is a dream,'” Lara said. “So, I shut the door and open it back up and it’s for sure not a dream.”

Lara and his dad buried the snake after posing for a few pictures.

Lara says they built a fence around the yard to keep these types of creatures out.

He says he’s seen smaller snakes, but nothing as large as the python.
