
ROCHESTER — TimberWolf S3DA Youth Archery Club is proud to announce that member Kaydence Stevens, age 11 of Akron, is the 2016 S3DA National Champion for the Female Elementary Open Class.
Stevens participated in the S3DA National Championships this past weekend, Friday, June 17 through Saturday, June 18, at Mermet Lake State Conservation Area in Belknap, Ill. On Friday, Stevens placed first for her class with a score of 194 out of 240. On Saturday, she set a personal best at 208 out of 240 and again took first place for the day. Later, she participated in the top three shoot down, scoring 28 out of a possible 36 and solidifying her championship title.
“Impressively, Kaydence has been shooting for less than one year. We couldn’t be more proud of her and her accomplishments,” says TimberWolf owner W. Clifford “Cliff: St.Martin. “She is a prime example of how hard work and dedication can pay off.”
Stevens is a charter member of the TimberWolf S3DA Youth Archery Club, which was founded in March. Her archery accomplishments also include the following:
- 2016 Indiana S3DA Shooter of the Year for Female Elementary Open Class
- 2016 Indiana S3DA 3-D Female Elementary Open Class Champion
- Indiana Field Archery Association
- State Champion for Cub Female Freestyle Class
- National Field Archery Association
- Great Lakes Outdoor Sectional Champion for Cub Female Freestyle Class.
Additionally, Stevens holds the Indiana state record for S3DA Female Elementary Open Class with a score of 200 of a possible 240.
