BOURBON — Bourbon Police Officer Matthew Geiger made two traffic stops recently, resulting in the arrest of a Walkerton woman and a Warsaw man.

Ryan M. McLaughlin, 19, Warsaw, was arrested Thursday evening, June 16, by Geiger and charged with unlawful possession of a syringe, driving while suspended with a prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia. He was also wanted in Kosciusko County on a warrant for dealing methamphetamine. His bond was set at $3,000 cash on the Marshall County charges.

McLaughlin’s arrested stemmed from a traffic stop. At approximately 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Geiger clocked a vehicle traveling 86 miles per hour in a 60 mph speed limit on US 30 and made a traffic stop at Gumwood Road. Geiger found the driver, McLaughlin, to have a suspended license and a warrant. He also found a total of 25 syringes and paraphernalia. Geiger was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department in the arrest.

Lisa K. Osmon, Walkerton, was arrested early Thursday, and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was booked in the Marshall County Jail with a $1,500 cash bond.

Bourbon Police were notified around midnight Wednesday, June 15, of a possible intoxicated driver on US 30 in the area of Cedar Road. The vehicle was described as a gray SUV. Geiger located the vehicle and made a traffic stop for driving infractions. He found the Osmon, the driver, impaired. She was taken to Plymouth Hospital for tests and found her blood alcohol contest was .15 percent.
