Doris T. Boocher, 91, North Manchester, passed away at 7:16 a.m. June 16, 2016, at Parkview Wabash Hospital, Wabash. She was born on Jan. 20, 1925, in Wabash County to Albert L. and Mary K. (Karn) Niccum.

Doris was a homemaker and retired from Singer Controls, North Manchester, in 1990 after 30 years. She was a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing with her family.

She is survived by three sons: Jerry Boocher, North Manchester; Allan (Rosalyn) Boocher, South Whitley; and Arden (Carol) Boocher, Fort Wayne; two daughters: Judy (Dennis) Cripe, North Manchester; and Beverly (Mike) Rice, Warsaw; a brother: Walter (Marie) Niccum, North Manchester; her twin sister: Dorothy Byers, North Manchester; two sisters-in-law: Anna Lee Boocher, North Manchester; and Jane Kinzie, North Manchester; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Edward Niccum; two sisters: Mae Metzger; and Fern Long; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester. Home Brethren will officiate. Family and friends may call from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Burial will be at Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.
