The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

10:07 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at South SR 19, south of West CR 950S, Akron. Driver: Garrett R. Bell, 18, West CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Bell hit a deer while riding a motorcycle. Damage up to $5,000. Bell suffered abrasions to multiple areas on his body.

8:47 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at South SR 19, west of West CR 100S, Mentone. Drivers: Jessica A. Fear, 18, 17B Road, Tippecanoe, and Kyler L. Kearby, 27, Pleasant Acres Drive, Nappanee. Kearby stated Fear drove through an intersection and he couldn’t avoid hitting driver’s side door of Fear’s vehicle. Damage up to $50,000. Fear complained of upper leg/hip pain and her passenger complained of chest pain. According to the accident report, Kearby had minor facial bleeding. Fear also told officers she had been drinking.
