Glen Dora Smith, 96, Fishers and formerly of Akron, passed 1:45 a.m., Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1919 in Fulton County, Indiana to Alfred and Goldie (Smoker) Ferree.

She married on Nov. 25, 1939 in Mentone, Indiana to M. Franklin Smith, he preceded on Feb. 5, 2001.

She was a homemaker and with her husband owned and operated Smith Mobile Homes, of Noblesville, Indiana.

She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She had attended Northminster Church and growing up the Akron Church of God.

She is survived by her sons: Merle Smith, New Port, Ky.; Ron (Shirley) Smith, Fishers; Kent Smith, Madison, Ga.; five grandchildren: Brent, Joel, Jason, Ryan and Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred and Goldie Ferree; her husband: Frank and her sister: Evelyn Lowman.

The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at Hartzler Funeral Home in Akron. Pastor Kathy Nelson will officiate. Burial will occur at Akron Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednsed, June 15 at the funeral home.
