WARSAW — On June 8, the Bone City Rollers, a roller derby league based in Warsaw, donated $800 to Unslaved.

Unslaved is a non-profit organization aimed at ending human trafficking in the U.S. As a sports league, BCR is also philanthropic in its mission. Since it’s creation 2 1/2 years ago, BCR has donated more than $9,000 to local charities and teammates have volunteered more than 1,100 hours to help in the community.

BCR hosts its next roller derby bout on Aug. 27, in Warsaw, to raise money for another local charity. For more info on this event or about BCR, visit their Facebook page or website at www.bonecityrollers.com.
