WARSAW — Baker Youth Club held their annual end of the school year awards ceremony on Thursday, May 26. Tracy Furnivall, executive director, handed out the awards at the ceremony.

“It’s been a good year,” said Furnivall. “Tonight it’s all about the kids.”

The biggest awards of the night were the Boy and Girl of the Year. Furnivall explained that these are the children that were never in the office and could always be counted on to do the right thing. The Girl of the Year was awarded to Haley Rodewald and the Boy of the Year was awarded to Quintin Pearson. Sophia Rios and Simon Miller were both honored as the runner-ups to the award.

Furnivall also took time to recognize the staff of Baker Youth Club. “The staff is vital to the success of the program,” said Furnivall. “They are the reason why we are very successful.”

The remaining awards revolved around the six pillars of character that Baker Youth Club teaches children to use everyday. The awards were given as follows:
