UPDATE: Dogs Rescued From House Fire

BURKET — Burket and Mentone Fire Departments responded to a house fire at 4459 W. CR 625S, Burket around 2:45 p.m. today, Monday, May 23. All residents were originally able to escape the house with three of their dogs, while two remained inside the house.

The house was fully engulfed for around a half hour before the firefighters were able to successfully rescue the remaining two puppies. Upon being rescued, the dogs were covered in soot but moving.
