June M. Enyeart, 87, South Whitley, died at 6:04 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio where she was admitted on Tuesday, May 17.

She was born June 4, 1928 in Marengo, Ill., a daughter of William and Marie (Dunker) Schultz. Her formative years were spent Marengo and Elgin until as a teenager her family moved to South Whitley. She graduated from South Whitley High School.

On Sept. 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Charles D. “Bud” Enyeart. They always made their home in South Whitley. Mr. Enyeart died Nov. 20, 2000.

June retired in 1988 from Bendix Abrasives in North Manchester.

She was a member of South Whitley Church of the Brethren.

Surviving relatives include two children: Wendell L. (Lora) Enyeart of Columbia City; and Alison E. (David) Mendenhall of Lima, Ohio; four grandchildren: Jacqueline Harkness, Jeremy Enyeart, Jo Ellen Richardson and Jayna Enyeart; four great grandchildren; and a half sister: Vera Becker of Illinois.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey L. Enyeart; and a half brother: Paul.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. The burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery. The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Hope for Animals or Humane Society of Whitley County.
