Terence David Smith, 76, Plymouth, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at his home.

Terence was born on Nov. 25, 1939, in Chicago, Ill., to Warren and Slava “Gloria” (Doseff) Smith. He has been a long time resident of the area. Terence was a family counselor with the Juvenile Justice Task Force as well as the Marshall County Probation Department. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. On March 3, 1992, Terence married the former Annette “Ann” A. Austin at the Marshall County Courthouse by Mayor Jack Greenlee.

Terence is survived by his loving wife: Annette ‘Ann’ A. Smith, Plymouth; his daughter: Donna (Jorge) Seda, Milwaukee, Wis.; his son: Gregory (Lisa) Smith, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; sisters: Kathleen Renowden, Wis.; Georgia Campbell, Mishawaka; four grandchildren; and his four nephews: David (Cathy) Winchell; Brian (Sung) Winchell; John (Amy) Winchell; and Ryan Campbell.

The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Smith family. According to Terence’s wishes services will be planned at a later date.
