Caroline Sue LeCount, 66, Gravelton, died 2:20 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at Millers Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born August 14, 1949, in Goshen to James and Edythe (Greenawalt) Shapland. She married Gerald “Jerry” LeCount on January 30, 1970, in Millersburg and he died on July 23, 2000.

Surviving is her daughter: Gale LeCount, Nappanee; sons: Gerry (Misty) LeCount, Gravelton; Jerry LeCount, Gravelton; Barry LeCount, Nappanee; siblings: Roger (Sue) Shapland, Nappanee; Steve (Virginia) Shapland, Elkhart; Russell (Shirley) Shapland, Elkhart; six grandsons, one granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents and one brother: George Roy Shapland.

Caroline was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God in Nappanee.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. A 10 a.m. graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 18, at Milford Cemetery. Pastor Sam Bennett will officiate.

Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
