WARSAW — Indiana Business Opportunity Partners held a charity bazaar and silent auction for the Baker Youth Club on April 16. The iBOP group was able to donate $749.75 to the BYC and wish to thank those that supported the event.
The BYC organization’s mission statement is to work with the youth of Kosciusko County to shape an educated, healthy, and social identity based on Christian values.
There were over 30 crafters and vendors to shop from and over 40 items to bid on from direct sales consultants and handmade items from crafters for the silent auction portion of the event.
The next event will be held at The Veterans of Foreign Wars building in Warsaw on September 24. This will be a Quarter Auction event. The charity for this event will be announced on the iBOP Facebook Fan Page once an agreement has been made. The theme for the event is a Fall Fest Bazaar.
The next craft/vendor event with Quarter Auction is Winter Wonderland to be held at the new BYC building at 1401 E. Smith Street on November 12. The iBOP group is currently looking for unique crafters for this event. If you make homemade or handcrafted items please contact iBOP president Betty Swanson at (574) 527-6005.
A quarter auction is a fun way to support a charity and maybe pick up some gifts for yourself or someone else for a few quarters. You will want to purchase your tickets in advance for $5 each as seating is limited. Tickets will be $7 at the door if any are remaining.
Tickets will be exchanged for a paddle and a numbered ball. In order to bid the paddle is held high and the appropriate number of quarters are placed in the bucket in the middle of the table. For example a $45 item is only a 2 quarter bid. If the right numbered ball is drawn the item is won.
