3700313_wlppCharlene F. Guyse 68, formerly of Bremen, peacefully passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 surrounded by family.

Charlene was born July 4, 1947, the daughter of Delbert & Vera (Sauer) Hummel. Charlene graduated with the class of 1965 from Bremen High School. On June 21, 1986 she married Thomas Guyse in Bremen, were they lived until retiring to Zephyrhills, Fla.

Charlene is survived by her husband Thomas Guyse of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one daughter, Denise (Rich) Swihart of Plymouth; two sons: Robert (Becki) Julian of Augusta, Ga.; and Donald Dickson Jr. of Plymouth; stepdaughter, Amanda (Dan) Desona of Rochester; and an adopted daughter of the heart, Lorie Sprouse of Bremen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one sister Shirley (Anthony) Schalliol of South Bend.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents; a twin brother, Wayne Hummel; and a son, James Leland Julian.

Charlene was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church of Bremen and the Bremen VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Charlene loved spending time outdoors mowing and gardening. Her joy was flowering and tending the many wild birds she enjoyed.

A graveside memorial service will be held at noon, Friday May 12, in Bremen Cemetery to lay her ashes to rest. Afterwards there will be a luncheon at the Bremen VFW at 1 p.m. to remember and share Charlene’s life. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family.

Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen is handling arrangements.
