FORT WAYNE — May is National Bike Month. To encourage the use of helmets while cycling, Parkview Trauma Centers will host a Share the Road helmet fitting during KickStart. The first 150 people to sign up will receive a free bicycle helmet and complimentary fitting by a trained Parkview Trauma Centers specialist.

The event is set for 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Parkview Safety Store, 1818 Carew St., Suite 140, Fort Wayne.

Lisa Hollister, director of trauma and acute care surgery, Parkview Trauma Centers, will also address attendees regarding the importance of wearing a properly-fitted helmet, along with other cycling safety tips.
