Harlan D. Gardner, 81, of rural Goshen, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at his residence near Goshen.

Mr. Gardner was born on Oct. 16, 1934 in Marshall County, to the late Floyd and Mary (Buss) Gardner. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by three sons: Bernard (Patty) Gardner, New Paris; Harlan (Janet) Gardner Jr., Millersburg; and John (Iryna) Gardner, Syracuse; three daughters: Deborah Avery, Goshen; Donna Gardner, Goshen; and Susan (Kevin) Ferrier, Syracuse; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Roland Gardner; and one son-in-law: Charles Avery.

In honoring Mr. Gardner’s wishes cremation will take place. A celebration of life service will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Eby Pines, 14583 SR 120, in Bristol.
