Warsaw Volleyballers Shine In Regional Tournaments

INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of Warsaw-based volleyball teams, Outland 13 and Outland 15, competed in well-stocked volleyball tournaments in Indianapolis.

The Outland 13, coached by Grace College assistant Doug West and Edgewood Middle School coach James Schmidt, closed out its season earning runner-up honors in the Silver Pool among teams from Indiana and Ohio. Outland 13 was knocked out by the Irish of Indianapolis, feeding national power Indianapolis Cathedral, in the championship round.

The Outland 15’s Onyx volleyball team, comprised of eighth and ninth graders from Warsaw, Tippecanoe Valley and Wawasee, were also runner-up in its division. Outland 15 was knocked out by a team from Ohio in the championship, 25-21, 20-25, 16-14.
