MARSHALL COUNTY — A man was hurt over the weekend when he was flying in a powered parachute.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept. says Michael Wood of South Bend was piloting a 2002 Buckeye Dream Machine just before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 16000-block of 18B Rd.
Wood struck the top of some trees and became stuck. They say they are unsure how he became unbuckled and fell from about 60 feet to the ground.
Wood was conscious when they took him to the hospital but his condition remains unknown.
