WARSAW —The month of May will bring a variety of events to the Warsaw Community Public Library, including:

  • “Cookbook Club” from 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 2. Make something that challenges you.
  • “New Release Tuesday” from 4-6 a.m. May 3. Call or go online for movie title. Rated PG-13.
  • “Computer Clinic” from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 and from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25.
  • “Drop in Zone” from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4. Sixth grade through 12th grade only. Drop in to play video games, board games, watch a movie, and enjoy snacks.
  • “Off the Shelf Reading Group” from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, May 5. Discussing “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” by Jamie Ford.
  • “Chess Club” from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday in May. Bring a chess set if you have one.
  • “Make it and Take it Crafts: Chalkboard Mug” from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Saturday, May 7. Register here.
  • “The Knit & PURL Club” from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, May 9. For beginners and experts. Bring your projects; help is available.
  • “Writers Club” from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Monday, May 9. Topics are: “Mother’s Day,” “Changing of the Seasons” and “Maybe.”
  • “Genealogy Club” from 11 a.m. to noon. Tuesday, May 10.
  • “A Great Weekend in Chicago” from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10. Highlights will include 21 almost free things to do in Chicago. Register here.
  • “Tablet Basics” from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11. Learn how to use your tablet. Register here.
  • “Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club” from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, May 13.
  • “My Journey to Auschwitz” from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, May 16. Charles Moman shares photos of his two Auschwitz trips, along with basic information about the Holocaust. There will be no graphic images from the WWII era. Register here.
  • “Parkinson’s Disease” from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17. Basic information about risk factors, symptoms and stages of Parkinson’s disease. Presented by Jennifer Hoover, RPH, Walgreens Pharmacy. Register here.
