Triton Softball: Trojans Scream Past Eagles
CULVER – Triton softball got back into the win column Friday afternoon, pounding Culver Academy 14-4 in five innings at the Academy.
Courtney Jennings was back to her old self, working the complete game allowing just one earned run in five innings. She struck out seven and allowed just four hits.
Hannah Woodard continued her torrid start to the season, collecting four hits and driving in two. Taytum Hargrave also had four hits and scored three runs and Megan Berger swung a big stick, rapping three hits, driving in four runs and scoring twice.
Nicole Sechrist homered and scored three runs for Triton, which level up at 3-3 on the season.
Emily Lipsett had a triple and scored three runs for the Eagles, which drops its first contest of the season.
Triton will visit LaVille Monday in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play.
