AKRON – Abby Betten had a game to remember Friday.

The Tippecanoe Valley standout hit for the cycle to lead her team past Culver 22-8 in five innings.

Betten rapped out four hits and drove in eight runs as the host Vikings rolled to the victory.

Valley scored eight runs in the first frame to take control of the contest from the start. The hosts also scored nine times in the fourth frame.

Katie Prater had three hits, two RBI and scored four runs for the winners. Kayla Scott had three hits and Sydney Howard had two hits and scored four times for the Vikings.

The duo of Howard and Scott combined to pitch a six-hitter for Valley.

The Vikings piled up 14 hits in the win.

Valley improves to 5-5, while Culver drops to 1-5.

The Vikings play in the Wabash Tournament today.
