Warsaw Tennis: Falcons Single Out Tigers
WARSAW – It was a singles party for the Fairfield girls tennis team Thursday at Warsaw. All three Falcons singles courts won in straight sets, two convincingly, as Fairfield claimed a 3-2 win.
Emily Mast had the eye-opening win of the singles courts, having no trouble in beating Liza Lewis at No. 1 in a love-love final. Morgan Mast wasn’t far behind, taking care of Colette Smith one and two at No. 2. In the three singles court, Margie Stutzman sealed up the team win for the visitors with a four and two final over Ella Knight.
Warsaw’s doubles teams took care of business, with Grace Miller and Chelsey Farling having a go against Madison Cole and Kylie Miller love and two. Hannah Rice and Athena Schlitt needed to work to take out Kirstin Toole and Sidney Hochstedler 7-5, 6-1.
On the other hand, Warsaw went 8-0 against Fairfield in JV matchups. The results were as follows:
