Tippy Valley SportsBaseball Team Stays Undefeated

The Vikings continued to roll right along on the diamond Wednesday night.

Host Valley opened conference play by dominating North Miami 11-0 for a five-inning win.

Luke Helton was the latest Valley pitcher to shut down his foe. Helton fired a no-hitter with eight strikeouts in the Three Rivers Conference opener. Helton was also one of five Vikings to collect multi hits as the hosts piled up 16 hits in the win.

Alec Craig led the Valley offense with three doubles.

Valley, now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the TRC, is slated to play at South Bend Adams tonight.

Softball Team Blanked

Valley opened league play with an 8-0 home loss to North Miami.

The Vikings managed just a pair of hits in the contest. Abby Betten had a triple and Amanda Shepherd a single for the home team.

Kayla Scott took the pitching loss for the Vikings. She allowed just four earned runs with one walk and five strikeouts.

Valley will host Culver Friday.
