Tennis Squad Downs Northfield

The Whitko tennis team picked up a 3-2 win over Northfield Thursday evening.

Morgan Keirn picked up a win at No. 1 singles, Delaney Keirn secured the win at No. 2 singles while Jackie Werstler won at No. 3 singles.

Whitko will compete at the Fort Wayne South Side Invite this Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Knights Escape Wildcats On Links

The Whitko golf team was edged 189-193 Thursday night by Three Rivers Conference foe Southwood.

Tim Gensch led Whitko with a 45. Grady Clingerman had a 47, Cade Bechtold signed for a 49 while Nic Rose had a 52.

The Whitko JV enjoyed a 115-121 win. Austin Nettrouer led the JV squad with a 56.

Whitko will play this Saturday in the Northrop Invite.

Baseball Team Edges Out Home Win

The Whitko baseball team remained undefeated following a 9-8 win over Lakewood Park.

River West picked up the victory while Drew Bradford got the save. West pitched two innings, gave up no earned runs and fanned four. Zach Hewitt pitched three innings for the Wildcats and and struck out nine in that stretch. Bradford fanned two in his one innings of work.

Tanner Gaff was 2-3 at the plate with a home run, three stolen bases and two RBIs. Hunter Sroufe was 2-4 with two runs scored, a triple and an RBI.

Whitko (5-0) will play at Heritage this Saturday.
