Michael A. Cramer
Michael A. Cramer, 69, of rural Huntertown, passed away at 4:54 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Cramer was born on April 3, 1947, in Fort Wayne, a son of Wilbur L. and Catherine (Lynch) Cramer. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1965. After high school he serviced in the United States Navy as a submariner.
On April 30, 1966, he was married to Marilyn Benson, after his Navy service the couple lived in Fort Wayne for a period before moving to their current home in rural Huntertown. He was employed at Structural Steel and the Dekko Group.
The surviving relatives include his wife of 50 years; Marilyn Cramer, Huntertown; his daughter: Melissa (Carl) Voltz, Garrett; his son: Michael Cramer, Huntertown; two sisters: Lisa K. Miller, Fort Wayne; and Monica (Thomas) Lang, LaOtto; five grandchildren: Justin; Kelly; Molly; Ashlen; and Katie; a great-grandson: Oliver; and his mother-in-law: Virginia (Larry) Jackson, Fort Wayne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Patrick T. and Dennis L. Cramer.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, with Father Danney Pinto, the celebrant. The family will receive friends at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 17, or at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Ege Catholic Cemetery, Noble County.
