Baseball Team Drops RedHawks
The Whitko baseball team remained undefeated in the young season with a 6-1 victory over Goshen Wednesday night night.
Alex Robbins picked up the win on the mound for the Wildcats. He went five innings, gave up zero earned runs, one hit and struck out two. Hunter Sroufe pitched in relief giving up two hits and striking out a pair.
Tanner Gaff was 3-4 at the plate and scored two runs while Drew Bradford was 2-4 and had two RBIs and a run scored.
Whitko is now 4-0 on the season.
Tennis Team Escapes Maconaquah
The Whitko girls tennis team enjoyed a 3-2 win over Three Rivers Conference opponent Maconaquah on Wednesday.
Morgan Keirn was the winner at No. 1 singles after a three-hour battle with Brandi Jones thanks to a 7-6 tiebreaker. 6-7 tie breaker. No. 2 saw Delaney Keirn beat Betsy Powell 6-1, 6-2. Jackie Werstler won at No. 3 singles in two sets over Erika Rose.
The Wildcats are back in action tomorrow night at Northfield.
