PORTAGE, Mich. – Grace’s men’s golf team had a strong showing on Monday in the one-round Steven Tyler Intercollegiate.

The Lancers placed fifth out of 13 teams at The Moors Golf Club. Grace fired a 326 as a team, battling high winds in the later stages of the day. Hope College won the tournament with a 308.

Chad Spencer was Grace’s top finisher. He carded a 77 to finish tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard, including a 2-under par finish on the front-nine.

Jonathan Schram was second for the Lancers with an 80. Tyler Ham’s 84, Kyle Condon’s 85 and Zachary Allyn’s 86 rounded out Grace’s scoring.

The Lancers will end the week traveling to the Bethel Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
