Ogle Slated To Speak At Coaches Clinic
INDIANAPOLIS – Warsaw boys basketball coach Doug Ogle is one of the high school coaches scheduled to speak at the 2016 Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Spring Clinic.
The clinic is set for April 22-23 at Lawrence North High School. Cost to attend is $50 for IBCA members and $100 for non-members.
Ogle is slated to speak on Saturday, April 23 at the clinic. Ogle was honored recently as a recipient of the Bob King Coach of the Year Award for District 1 from the IBCA. He guided the Tigers to a 25-2 mark during the 2015-16 season, including conference, sectional and regional championships.
Tony Stesiak, the girls basketball coach at Rochester High School, is scheduled to speak on Friday, April 22 at the clinic. Stesiak guided his team to a 24-2 mark and a sectional championship and was also honored as a Bob King Coach of the Year for District 1.
Ogle is slated to speak on “Completing Passes” and Stesiak on “Our Half-Court Trapping System.”
The headline speakers for the clinic include Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever of the WNBA, along with Butler men’s basketball coach Chris Holzmann and Ball State men’s basketball coach James Whitford. Also slated to speak are Stan Gouard, the University of Indianapolis men’s basketball coach and former longtime Taylor University coach Paul Patterson.
The clinic is slated to run from 11:30 a.m. until 9:10 p.m. on April 22 and from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on april 23.
