LAGRANGE — The Wawasee softball team rolled to a win in its second game of the season Monday night. The Lady Warriors crushed potential sectional opponent Lakeland 13-1 behind a grand slam from junior Meghan Fretz.

Fretz led the team with four RBIs while Kylee Rostochak and Danielle Gunkel each tallied a pair. Fretz also pitched an inning and recorded a strikeout. Amber Lemberg picked up the win for the visiting squad behind a 78-pitch performance, racking up six strikeouts along the way.

Grace Arend had an RBI for Lakeland.

Wawasee (2-0) will travel to West Noble Tuesday night.
