Lovina R. Wolf
Lovina R. Wolf, 95, Ligonier, died on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier. She was born on Feb. 1, 1921, to Carl and Pearl (McDaniel) Wolf in Ligonier.
She worked in accounting for 20 years and then for Patton Accounting for another 24 years before her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed reading, baking cookies, and gardening. Lovina was very active in the Ligonier United Methodist Church where she was a member for over 80 years. She served as Treasurer for over 15 years as well as serving on numerous committees. She also belonged to the Good Samaritans Circle.
She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews: Euretta (Mike) Beach, Crown Point; Roger Wolf, South Bend; Larry (Susie) Wolf, Ligonier; and Linda Wolf, Indianapolis; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. She is welcomed into everlasting life by her parents: Carl and Pearl; her sister: Helen O’Reilley; three brothers: Robert; Chester; and Henry Wolf.
A funeral service will be held in Lovina’s honor at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Ligonier United Methodist Church. Pastor Jill Wright will officiate. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9-11 a.m. Thursday morning prior to the service. Burial will take place at the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, following the service. Yeager Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lovina’s name to the Ligonier United Methodist Church or Charity of the donor’s choice.
