Lancers Compete In Battle On Beale Street
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tyler Ham earned a top-10 finish in Grace College men’s golf spring opener at the Battle on Beale Street.
Ham shot a 76-80 to finish tied for ninth place in the tournament, held at Memphis’s TPC Southwind.
The Lancers finished 11th out of 12 teams in the event, improving on their team score by 11 strokes from the first and second rounds.
Ham was a bright spot for Grace in the first round. He carded a 76 — three off the individual lead — to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place.
Jonathan Schram pulled off one of the biggest jumps in the field. He bettered his score by 10 strokes to card a second-round 79 on Tuesday.
Cameron Bates also showed noticeable improvement by finishing with a 91-82, and Chad Spencer rounded out the team’s scoring with a total of 174.
Next up, the Lancers will compete at the Cougar Spring Invitational in Fort Wayne on April 1-2.
