Birda Rhudell “Rhudy” Yeager, 87, of Goshen, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 4:37 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, in Goshen.

She was born on March 4, 1929, in Chenoa, Ill., to Emler L. and Golden Gertrude (Kiper) Dennison.

She was a lifetime Kosciusko/Elkhart County area resident and graduated in 1948 from Syracuse High School.

She was married on June 12, 1948, in Syracuse to Paul Alden Yeager who preceded her on Feb. 15, 2009. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God in Syracuse.

She is survived by her daughter: Suzanne (James) Pachynski of Syracuse; son: Tim Yeager of Syracuse; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Sandra Horton; grandson: Edward Paul Pachynski; and two sisters: Mary Virginia Wise and Fern Genevieve Armey.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Greencroft Meetinghouse, 1225 Greencroft Dr., Goshen, and from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, P.O. Box 4204, South Bend, IN 46634. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
