GOSHEN — Would you like to learn about tractor and lawn tractor safety? If so, the 4-H Farm Tractor and Garden Tractor clubs are for you.
You don’t have to live on a farm or even own a farm or garden tractor to be a member of the 4-H Tractor clubs.
Members learn about tractor safety, maintenance and even learn how to properly drive equipment. The Farm Tractor and Garden Tractor 4-H clubs are open to all youth in grades 3-12.
For youth in grades K-2 the Mini 4-H program in Elkhart County also offers a tractor project. The first meeting for the 4-H Tractor clubs has been set for Thursday, March 3.
This year the 4-H Garden Tractor club will meet in the Home and Family Arts building starting at 7 p.m., while the 4-H Farm Tractor club will meet at 7 p.m. in the Eastern Star Building, both of which are located on the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Additional meetings for the clubs will be on March 10, March 17, and March 24.
If you would like more information about the 4-H Tractor clubs or projects, contact the Purdue Extension Elkhart County office located at 17746 CR 34, Goshen.
