Warriors Tripped Up At Eastside

BUTLER — The Wawasee boys basketball team suffered a defeat Tuesday night. The Warriors traveled to Eastside and left with a 54-46 loss.
The Warriors closed a 17-11 Blazer lead after one quarter down to 25-21 at the half before losing ground again in the third. Wawasee was led offensively by Tyler Smith’s 13 points followed closely by Jayce Boatwright’s 12 points.
Eastside was led by Cade Willard’s 14 points.
Wawasee (2-19) will conclude its regular season Friday night at home with Tippecanoe Valley.
Wawasee’s JV improved to 14-7 on the year with a 65-58 overtime victory over Eastside. The Warriors held the Blazers to just two points in the extra period. Wawasee was led by Will Geer’s 22 points. Ben Hoffert added another 16 for the visiting squad.
