Officers with the Kosciusko Count Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

6:42 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, South CR 275E and East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Drivers: Steven E. Ihnen, 57, East CR 300S, Akron, and Angela L. Westafer, 38, North Washington Street, North Manchester. Westafer stopped suddenly to avoid cats in the road and Ihnen’s vehicle collided with hers. Damage up to $5,000.

6:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, West SR 14 west of South Bouse Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Lisa J. Kipker, 53, South CR 850W, Akron. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

4:54 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, South County Farm Road south of East CR 600S, Claypool. Driver: David R. Bauer, 36, South CR 100E, Claypool. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

12:41 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, West SR 25 east of South CR 1300W, Mentone. Driver: Martha B. Lewis, 27, Greyfeather Lane, Rochester. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

10:11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, South SR 15 south of South CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Sara B. Shepherd, 24, Sharon Street, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle left the roadway and she overcorrected, causing it to cross into the other lane, then overcorrected again, causing it to roll down an embankment. Damage up to $10,000.

9:48 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, South SR 15 north of West CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Kathryn A. Campbell, 44, East Walnut Street, Silver Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.

12:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1692 E. CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Toby J. Slone, 42, South Main Street, Claypool, and Patsy C. Hanson, 61, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Slone started backing up and his vehicle collided with Hanson’s. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

12:06 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, South Huntington Street east of East Maple Grove, Syracuse. Driver: Belinda E. Claybaugh, 67, South Kinder Drive, Syracuse. Claybaugh swerved to avoid another vehicle and ran her vehicle off the road. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
