Zeller Named Keynote Speaker For NCCAA Banquet
WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Grace College is pleased to announce that Luke Zeller will serve as the banquet speaker for the 2016 NCCAA National Basketball Championships.
Zeller will be the keynote speaker at the banquet on Tuesday, March 15. The banquet, held at Warsaw Community Church, starts at 6:30 p.m. Limited tickets for the public are available for $20 or $150 for a table of eight people. Zeller, the oldest Zeller boy, had a storybook career at Washington High School. He graduated valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA, was named a McDonald’s All-American and won Indiana Mr. Basketball after sinking a half-court shot to win the state championship in 2005.
He went on to play collegiality at the University of Notre Dame, making 32 starts for the Fighting Irish.
Zeller played professionally in the NBA Summer League, D-League and overseas in Japan and Lithuania. He broke onto an NBA roster and signed with the Phoenix Suns during the 2012-13 season.
He founded DistinXion in 2010 and serves as the president of the organization. DistinXion is a nonprofit that integrates elite character and sports training to help build family relationships.
Zeller’s brothers — Tyler and Cody — followed Luke’s footsteps by winning Indiana Mr. Basketball, playing at the NCAA Div. I level and reaching the NBA. Tyler currently plays for the Boston Celtics, and Cody is a starter with the Charlotte Hornets.
