Larry D. StanerLarry D. Staner, 72, Bremen, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at his home. He was born on Sept. 18, 1943, in Fort Wayne, to the late Oliver and Hazel (Benninghoff) Staner and his lived in Bremen since 1987 coming from Argos. On July 11, 1987 in Bremen, he married Geraldine A. (Tebo) Staner, who survives.

Along with his loving wife: Geraldine; Larry is survived by five daughters: Cheryl (Dave) Jones, Ligonier; Cara (Ron) Bunton, Bremen; Tracy (Chrys) Harast, Chicago, Ill.; Tonia (Tim) Tillotson, Bourbon; JoAnna Spelts, Bremen; four sons: Jimmy Spelts; Freman Spelts, both of Bremen; Kenneth Schoff, Michigan City; Tony Spelts, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister: Judy Stewart, Warsaw. One sister: Sharon Crum, preceded Larry in death.

Larry worked at RediFroze for 33 years; then retired in 2005 from Monaco after eight years of service; and was a farmer for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Bremen Church of the Brethren, Bremen. Pastor Evan Garber will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Larry may be made to Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend.
